IRB# FY2026-297 — Interaction with Social Robots

Researchers at Oakland University are inviting adults to participate in a research study about how people respond emotionally during social interactions with social robots.

What will you do?

• Interact with a social robot in short role-playing scenarios
• Complete questionnaires about your character and experience
• Be audio and video recorded during the session

Study requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Able to read and speak English
• Willing to be audio and video recorded
• Able to attend an in-person session at Oakland University
• This study takes about 45–60 minutes

• Receive $15 for participation
